As far as wins and losses go our 1st ever Boys Lacrosse team has had a tough season, but their hard work and improvement cannot go unnoticed. On Tuesday, the Redhawks hung tough with River Bluff only down 3 points at the half. The second half was a little different as the Gators wore down the Redhawks and the inexperience factor settled in, as the Gators went on to defeat the Redhawks going away. Coach Dyer has done an outstanding job of getting this program developed and teaching the rules/procedures and skills of the game. With one week left in the season, the Redhawk boys have improved since day one where more than half the team had never played the game before. Congratulations to the team for their hard work and willingness to learn the game this season and for the hard work of Coach Dyer introducing this sport to our students at Westwood. The Redhawks will host senior night Monday vs Spring Valley at 6pm and will conclude their season on the road next Wednesday at Irmo. Go Redhawks!
