Multiple Teams · Redhawks Split with Vikings

Last night our Redhawk Basketball teams traveled to District rival Spring Valley. The girls came away with another convincing victory by defeating the Vikings by a score of 79-65. The Vikings had no answer for Unique Drake as she completed her second double-double of the season pouring in 33 points and 10 assists while her teammate Nyah Leveretter completed her second triple-double in a row with 16 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 blocks. Maliyah Locket would also contribute with 14 points in the victory. The Redhawks will be back home on Friday with a rematch versus Spring Valley for a 6:00 tip-off.

The boys game was a close game throughout before the Vikings would pull away late in the 3rd quarter and keep a 10 point lead throughout the 4th quarter for a 68-58 victory over the Redhawks. The Vikings converted on 7 three-pointers and the Redhawks were unable to keep pace as they lose their first regular season game of this early season to drop to 4-2 on the season.

This Thursday our boys will compete in the Bojangles Bash held at Ridge View High at 6:00pm versus Keenan High and then will be back home on Friday for a rematch versus Spring Valley with a 7:30 tip.
