Redhawks News · Spring Sports Cranking Up

This past week and weekend we had several spring sports teams begin their seasons with pre-season tournaments. Below is a review of how each of the teams did over the weekend.

Boys Lacrosse–Had a rough start to the season facing one of the top teams in 5A (Blythewood) and one of the top teams in SCISA (Hammond). Both matches ended in a loss for the Redhawks and they will look to bounce back on Tuesday as they face Chapin at home with a 6:00 start.

Softball–The Redhawks participated in the Camden Pre-Season Softball tournament over the weekend and came away with a 2-2 record as they defeated Ben Lippen and Lee Central to get their first victory’s of the season.

Baseball–The Redhawks opened up their season at Dreher in the Carolina Ale House Pre-Season Invitational with a 7-0 defeat. The Redhawks will take on Ben Lippen Monday at 6:00 here at “The Castle.”

Girls Soccer–The Girls Soccer team opened up their season at the Lugoff-Elgin Pre-Season Tournament. On Friday they lost to Ben Lippen 3-1, and on Saturday they dropped a heart breaker to Lancaster in Pk’s and then dropped the last game to Lugoff-Elgin. The girls take on Sumter on Tuesday at Sumter.
