Redhawks News · Girls Tennis Makes Playoffs

This week the girls tennis team played their final three matches to finish up region play.  Monday, the girls lost a tough one to Ridge View 5-1 with Meera Rogers bringing in the team’s only win. Wednesday, the girls played South Pointe at home and won 4-2.  Rogers, Kelsi Sharpe, Perry Massey, and Rachel Griffith all won their matches that evening.  With the South Pointe win behind them the girls use this momentum to dominate at Richland Northeast Thursday night.  Kyndall Ragins, Rogers, Sharpe, Zaniya Montgomery, and the doubles pairing of Jasmine Alexander-Coleman and Abigail Gonzales helped lead the team to their victory.  The win over RNE allowed the girls to secure a spot in play offs this year.  The girls will host the first round of play offs Wednesday, October 24th at 5:00pm.  Their opponent will be announced on Monday.  Congrats to all of the girls on their successes this year.
