Redhawks News · Boys Basketball Sets New School Record for Wins

On Friday night, the Redhawk Boys Basketball team jumped out quickly on the Cavaliers of Richland Northeast and never looked back. The Redhawks went into halftime with a 37-10 advantage and would go on to a 59-34 victory giving the Redhawks their 20th win of the season. This win breaks last year’s record of 19 wins set by last year’s team. The Redhawks were led in scoring by Russell Jones Jr with 21 points and Ta’Jay Dunlap with 18 points. The Redhawks are now 5-1 in Region Play and 20-1 overall.

The girls game was much of the same as the Redhawks came away with a 79-18 victory over the Cavaliers. Sophomore, Trashauna McCants led the Redhawks with 16 points, while Malayziah Etheridge and Nyah Leveretter contributed 14 and 13 points respectively. The win puts the Redhawks at 5-1 in the Region and 17-5 overall.
