Matt Quinn Takes Over Redhawk Football Program
Matt Quinn will be the new Head Football Coach at Westwood High. Matt takes over for Dustin Curtis who stepped down to take over at AC Flora. Quinn served on Westwood’s staff in 2016 as the Offensive Coordinator. Before coming to Westwood, Quinn served as an Offensive Coordinator under Scott Earley at Westside and as a Quarterback/Receiver coach at Darlington. He played for Bobby Bentley at Byrnes and was a Shrine Bowl participant at the wide receiver position. The past 2 seasons, Quinn has been the Head Coach at Union Pines High School in North Carolina where he led the team to its first winning season in 10 years in 2017.
Coach Quinn will bring a lot of energy and enthusiasm to a program just waiting to take the next step at success. We are very excited to see where he can take this program in the future. There will be a meet and greet for Coach Quinn immediately after the spring game on Saturday in the main gym. Hope to see everyone at the Spring Game at 10am on Saturday and hope you will drop by to meet our new coach after the game.
